“If your compassion does not include yourself,
it is incomplete.”

About Sarah
I spent most of my early years in a state of anxiety which ruled my thoughts and beliefs, and kept me from doing the things that would give me a healthy life - making friends, exploring or having fun. I avoided other people as much as possible. I tried to make myself invisible. Either that, or I went on stage and pretended to be someone else in an effort to be accepted.
The anxiety was all-consuming and I struggled through school and university and then in the workplace.
Eventually I started on a path of self discovery, which brought me to mindfulness. I now have a way to access peace. I haven’t done away with anxiety, but it doesn’t govern my life any more.
I’ve been working with clients for more than 17 years, first as an Alexander Technique teacher and spiritual healer, later adding life coaching into the mix. I have chosen to devote my energy to teaching mindfulness because it is something that everyone can apply for themselves. It doesn’t need a hands on approach, but it produces very powerful results.
It’s wonderful to see clients, who have often felt stuck with their thoughts and emotions, find authentic ways of living and being free.
The path to peace and acceptance
I believe that the more people who can build mindfulness skills into their lives, the better, such is its power to lessen suffering and build peace. I studied to teach Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy with Enter Mindfulness.
I now teach The Mindful Peace Programme to people who are struggling to adapt to changes in their lives, whether that’s the loss of a loved one, the challenges of moving from working to retirement, or the confusing and potentially debilitating changes involved in the menopause. I also work with people who have chronic conditions that they are finding it hard to make peace with. Conditions such as multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, cancer, COPD, heart disease, and others. If you are impacted by a diagnosis that leads you to experience worry and fear, get in touch and let’s have a chat to see if we’re a good fit.
Or, invite me to a support group meeting for a free workshop.
